AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

After School Clubs September 2017  – download form to sign up for clubs

We have a number of after schools club throughout the year.  These tend to be delivered by staff or outside agencies/specialist sports agencies.  We are delighted that this term 78% of our children from Year 1 to 6 are accessing at least one club.

Currently we have the following clubs happening after school (Autumn Term 2017).

We also have a number of clubs running at lunchtime this term:

Gymnastics Year 1-6  £3.50 a session

Glen Smith is a qualified gymnastic coach who is employed by Stockton Borough Council and offers gymnastic coaching to Stockton schools.  He was a member of the GB Gymnastic Team representing Great Britain at international level.  Children will need to wear PE kits and gym shoes.

 

Guitar Year 2-6  and Ukulele Years Rec-2 £4 a session

Dave will provide the instruments, so there is no need for you to have a guitar to get started.  The primary goal is get the children interested and motivated with music, this involves getting them playing something that is recognisable as quickly as possible. Once this is achieved, the children will work towards a performance, be it in school, or one of the concerts Dave puts on himself out of school.  Dave Rutherford runs the Guitarmegeddon group in Stockton and is able to guitar and keyboard to Thames Valley University Grade syllabus, which he will do if any student wishes to do a graded examination. This way they can do so without much extra work, gaining a certificate for their efforts.

Football Years 1-6  £3.50 a session

Danny Fowler, DF Coaching, runs a football club outside during the summer and in the school hall during the winter months.

Multi-Sports Year 1-6 £3.50 a session


Miss Duffy from Conyers School will be running a sports club on Tuesday nights. This will be ideal preparation for the cluster competition or an opportunity to learn the basics, while having fun.

Dance Y1-6 £3.50 a session

Simone, on behalf of DF Coaching, is running a dance session for children to learn different styles of dance in a fun environment.

Rock School Y4/5/6 £4 a session

Dave Rutherford, working for Conyers School will be running a Rock School with keyboards, drums, guitars and vocalists.

Design Technolgy Y3-6 £3.50 a session
Miss Freeman is running a DT club, where children can work with different materials including food, wood and fabrics to design and make.
