Welcome From Our Head Girl and Head Boy
Welcome to our school from the Head Girl and Head Boy
A warm welcome to Kirklevington Primary School from Martha and Wade. We are a village school with a fantastic view over the Cleveland Hills. Our school motto is ‘Happy, Caring, High-achieving’ and we are very proud of our school. The staff at Kirklevington are friendly and encourage us to do our best. The children behave well and we are respectful towards each other. We have achieved a Rights Respecting School gold award; we care about the rights of all children around the world. We do a lot of sport all year round and are lucky to have a large playground and field. Our Sports Leaders help to run events such as Sports Day, and we all attend sports workshops. We get to try unusual sports, such as wheelchair basketball as well as other fun things like badminton, cricket and tag rugby.
Our lessons are always exciting and fun. We help to choose our topics and class books that we read by talking to our teachers. We frequently have visitors in, such as scientists from Children Challenging Industry, who help us do cool experiments. As Head Girl and Head Boy, we carry out our Celebration Assembly each week and award certificates for Star, Learner and Writer of the Week in each class. Each year we hold a Summer Fayre on the school field, where all Year 6 children plan and run their own stall. This is always great fun – lots of people come along and we help to raise money for good causes. Our School Parliament chooses our school charity that we support each year. This year, we supported Daisy Chain, which is a local children’s charity. We have bake sales, fun runs and ice cream shops each year to raise money.
This is a great school to attend, it helps us to be the best we can be and prepares us for the next steps in our lives.
